1. Overview
eMAM Client is a user-friendly interface designed to help users browse, search, and manage media assets and categories efficiently. Designed with simplicity and accessibility in mind, this manual provides step-by-step guidance on how to navigate the interface and make the most of its core functionalities.
A key highlight of the eMAM Client is its strong commitment to accessibility and WCAG 2.1 compliance (Level A and AA). The application has been thoughtfully developed to support users with diverse abilities. Features such as keyboard navigation using the Tab key enable seamless access to interface controls without requiring a mouse, offering critical support for visually impaired users.
It is also compatible with popular screen readers like NVDA, ensuring that on-screen content is accessible through auditory feedback. Additionally, usability is enhanced with contrast-friendly themes like Aquatic and Desert, which provide better visual clarity for users with low vision or color perception differences. eMAM Client also supports SSO authentication.
2. Key Features
The eMAM Client interface is designed to provide a streamlined and accessible experience for media asset management. Below are the core features available in the current release:
- Asset Browse: Easily browse through all ingested media assets including Video, Audio, Image, and Other file types.
- Category Navigation: Browse assets organized under Categories and Subcategories for efficient content grouping and retrieval.
- Search: Quickly find assets or categories using keywords in eMAM. Auto-suggestion support to help refine search results as you type.
- Asset Preview & Metadata: View metadata and preview media content.
- WCAG-Compliant Accessibility:
- Navigate the interface using only a keyboard (Tab/Shift+Tab) without the need for a mouse.
- Screen reader support using tools like NVDA ensures inclusive access for visually impaired users.
- Theme contrast support (e.g., Aquatic, Desert) improves visibility and readability for users with low vision.
3. Step-by-Step Instructions
This section provides clear, step-by-step instructions for accessing and using the eMAM Client’s key functionalities.
3.1 Login to eMAM Client

- Go to the eMAM Client login page. eMAM Client Url usually take the form of
https://youremamdomain.com/emamclient/
- Enter your eMAM Username and Password. The username is most commonly the email address of the user. The password can be auto generated or created by the Unit Administrator.
- Select Keep me logged in if needed. (Optional)
- Click Sign in.
- If your account is linked to multiple units, select the desired unit from the displayed eMAM unit options.

3.2 Navigate the Home Page
After successful login, the user will be shown the eMAM Client home page. The home page includes:

- Search Bar: Type keywords to search assets or categories.

Toggle ascending/descending order.
- User Account Icon: Click to view user account details (Name, Email, Phone) and logout option.

- Assets: Click on Assets displays all the assets uploaded to eMAM.

To browse the assets, click on Assets on the left-hand panel.
- All: Displays all the assets including videos, audios, images and other files in the eMAM system.

3.3 Key Features
3.3.1 Browse Assets: To browse for assets in eMAM:

- Click Assets in the left panel.
- All assets appear as thumbnails in the center panel.
- Use filters (Video, Audio, Image, Other files) from the top panel to refine the view.
- Asset thumbnail displays:

- View asset details like duration, size, author, description, upload date, File type/extension.
- Click on the asset thumbnail opens a new window on the right. Asset preview player window with asset details.
