How to configure CC extraction in eMAM with NetXCode?

This article provide the steps on how to configure CC extraction in eMAM with NetXCode. 


1. Login to eMAM Director.    

2. Go to Admin tools widget, create a Button Metadata field and assign to the required Metadata Group and Metadata Set.


3. Login to eMAM SuperAdmin.

4.     Go to Workflow Dashboard and click-on the “+ New Workflow” button to create new workflow.


5.     Provide all required information.


            5.1  Key-in the Workflow Name with Event Type = Button Metadata click

            5.2  Select the Button Metadata and set Asset Type = Video.

5.3  Provide the URI as below:

http://Drastic Server IP:1080/netx?request=set&client=any&command=copy&profile=caption-138&source=%e_FILE_FullOriginalLocation%&target=\\Storage System IP\EMAM_Proxy\CC\%e_FILE_Assetid%.vtt&flags=notifyeMam,eMamAssetID-%e_FILE_Assetid%,zerobasedoutput,markfirsttime

                  note: this will trigger an API call to Drastic to extract the VTT file.


6.     Drastic will then perform the following task:

·       Extract the VTT from the Original File.

·       Call eMAM API: Update the transcript widget and the file version widget using the appropriate API commands.
