How to move eMAMWebUploader service from one server to another?

Move Upload Manager from eMAM Webserver to eMAM Application server

Follow the steps mentioned below to move the Upload Manager from eMAM Webserver to eMAM Application server:

  1. Uninstall the eMAMWebUploader from Webserver. To do so:
  • Open Command prompt as administrator
  • cd C:\Program Files\Empress Media\eMAM Gateway\eMAMUploadManager\bin
  • Execute: service.bat uninstall eMAMUploadManager
   2. Make sure Java JDK 8 is installed on the Application server 

   3. Install eMAMWebUploader in the eMAM Application Server. To do so:
  • Open command prompt as administrator on the Application server
  • cd C:\Program Files\Empress Media\eMAM Ingest Manager\eMAMUploadManager\bin
  • Execute: service.bat install eMAMUploadManager
   4. Open Services and select eMAMuploadMananger. Go to Properties and set Start-up type as “Automatic”. Also change the Log on user as eMAM Service account.
   
   5. Start the eMAMUploadManager service.
   
  6. Login to eMAM Super Admin Interface as a Super admin user. Go to the Server Management tab and enter Upload manager URL and Click Update.

Follow the steps mentioned below to move the Upload Manager from eMAM Application Server to eMAM Web server:


  1. Uninstall the eMAMWebUploader from the eMAM Application server. To do so:
  • Open Command prompt as administrator.
  • cd C:\Program Files\Empress Media\eMAM Ingest Manager\eMAMUploadManager\bin
  • Execute : service.bat uninstall eMAMUploadManager
  2. Make sure Java JDK 8 is installed on the eMAM Web Server.
  
  3. Install eMAMWebUploader on the eMAM Web server.
  • Open Command prompt as administrator.
  • cd C:\Program Files\Empress Media\eMAM Gateway\eMAMUploadManager\bin
  • Execute : service.bat install eMAMUploadManager
  4. Open Services and select eMAMuploadMananger. Go to Properties and set Start-up type as “Automatic”. Also change the Log on user as eMAM Service account.

  5. Start eMAMUploadmananger service
  
  6. Login to the eMAM Super Admin Interface as a super admin user. Go to the Server Management and enter Upload manager URL and Click Update.
