PDF conversion for document files while ingesting

In order to convert document files to PDF, eMAM App (where eMAM Transcode/Ingest Manager runs) server should be installed with Microsoft office. After the MS office installation, we have to give proper credentials for DCOM config for MS Excel, Word, and Power point.

 

Please follow the below steps for it.

 

1) Take run and type dcomcnfg and hit enter

 

2) Now expand, Component Services-> Computer-> DCOM Config.

 

3) Here you can find Microsoft Excel Application, Microsoft PowerPoint Slide and Microsoft Word 97 - 2003 Document

 

4) Right click on these one by one and take properties, from the Identity Tab select This user and give the credentials of an Administrator user.

 

5) Do the same thing for Excel Application, Microsoft PowerPoint Slide and Microsoft Word 97 - 2003 Document.

 

After doing all this, if you are facing issue with Excel ingest Please select the Interactive user option from the Identity.

 

 

6) Resubmit the failed jobs now.
