- Split "Marker" Permission into Distinct View and Update Controls:
To provide more granular control over timeline markers, the legacy Marker permission has been divided into two distinct permissions: View Markers and Update Markers. These granular controls can now be configured independently across asset-level, category-level, and user group-level permission settings. By default, both new permissions are enabled to preserve existing access levels while allowing administrators to restrict marker editing rights without hiding visual markers.

Figure 4- Marker permission split into View marker & Update marker permissions
If both View marker & Update marker permissions are disabled (either at asset or category or user group level), Marker widget will not be displayed.
If Update marker is enabled and View marker permission is disabled (either at asset or category or user group level), Marker widget will not be displayed.
If View marker is enabled and Update marker permission is disabled (either at asset or category or user group level), Marker widget displays markers without update options.
