Update asset status from the dashboard widget.

eMAM provides the “Update Asset status” feature that allows users to change the status of entries that is older than 24 hours from the dashboard widget itself.

To use the feature,

·       Navigate to the dashboard widget and click on the expand icon  

·       Select "Update Asset Status”.

 



This will open the “Change asset status in dashboard” window.

 


The window mainly consist of 4 multiple option list fields.

·       Time Interval: This field provides 2 time-interval options based on which the dashboard entries to update can be chosen. You can select either 24hrs or 48 hrs option as per your requirement.

            

·       Dashboard: This field provides the option to update the entries from the below eMAM dashboards.

1)     Ingest

2)     Delivery

3)     Archive

4)     Cloud

 

 

·       From: This field displays the status options from which the entries could be updated.

·       To: This field displays the status to which the entries could be updated.

 

Please note that each queue in eMAM handles the assets differently based on the task at hand and thus involve different status for the entries. So, the 'from' and 'to' conditions that are available may vary according to the chosen dashboard.

For better understanding, please refer to the below section that explains the available for each dashboard individually:

 

1)    Ingest

 

To update the entries that are stuck in Ingest queue, please select the “Ingest” dashboard.



For the ingest dashboard, there are 4 options available in the ‘from’ field from which the entries could be updated.

·       Added

·       Queued

·       Uploading

·       Processing

 

For the ingest dashboard, there are 2 options available in the ‘to’ field to which the entries could be updated

·       Error

·       Delete

 


Once you choose the relevant “Time-interval”, “From”, and “To” conditions that matches the entries that you are trying to update in the ingest dashboard, click on “Change”.


 

This will update the status of the matching entries according to the user-defined conditions.


Please note that if the assets are processing via ingest manager and if that is stuck in the ‘Processing’ status, we need to follow the below steps,

 

1)             Stop the eMAMIngestManager service in the App server.

2)             Update the status to error using the feature from the dashboard.

3)             Start the eMAMIngestManager service.


 This is not applicable if the assets are handled by Elemental.

 

2)    Delivery

 

To update the entries that are stuck in delivery queue, please select the “Delivery” dashboard.

 

For the delivery dashboard, there are 3 options available in the ‘from’ field from which the entries could be updated.

·       Queued

·       Processing

·       Failed 

 


For the delivery dashboard, there are 3 options available in the ‘to’ field to which the entries could be updated.

·       Error

·       Delete

·       Cloud Upload Error

 

Once you choose the relevant “Time-interval”, “From”, and “To” conditions that matches the entries that you are trying to update in the delivery dashboard, click on “Change”.

 

 

3)    Archive

 

To update the entries that are stuck in archive queue, please select the “Archive” dashboard.

 

For the archive dashboard, there are 3 options available in the ‘from’ field from which the entries could be updated.

·       Added

·       Running

·       Failed

 

For the archive dashboard, there are 2 options available in the ‘to’ field to which the entries could be updated.

·       Error

·       Delete

 

 

Once you choose the relevant “Time-interval”, “From”, and “To” conditions that matches the entries that you are trying to update in the archive dashboard, click on “Change”.

4)    Cloud

 

To update the entries that are stuck in cloud queue, please select the “Cloud” dashboard.

 

 

The cloud dashboard provides 1 option in the ‘from’ field from which the entries could be updated.

·       Cloud Uploading

 

The cloud dashboard provides 1 option in the ‘to’ field to which the entries could be updated.

·       Cloud Upload Error

 

Once you choose the relevant “Time-interval”, “From”, and “To” conditions that matches the entries that you are trying to update in the cloud dashboard, click on “Change”.
