Working of Feeder in MAC
Step 1: Install and configure the eMAM feeder by using the JNLP file.
Step 2: Users can drag and drop or scan folders
Step 3: ensure that the logged in user is associated with the right ingest profile.
Step 4: This can be managed under "User Management" section of Admin Tools page.
Step 5: Feeder uses http/https to connect to the eMAM Gateway and FTP,
Step
6: Feeder will restart the ingest process if it loses a connection. It
can also use file acceleration for faster transfer times.
Step
7:Feeder will check the path is mounted if not it will try to mount
ingest path configured using the ingest credentials from the settings.
Working of Feeder in Windows

Step 5: Feeder uses http/https to connect to the eMAM Gateway and FTP,

6: Feeder will check whether the UNC path is accessible or not, If not
we have to access the UNC path with any of the admin credentials.
Working of eMAM uploader
Step 1: Users can drag and drop or scan folders
Step 2: Once the file has been uploaded, up loader will listen the 8080 port is open or not.
Step 3: To avoid conflict we have configured 8080 port.
Step 4: Port will listen the requests and sent back the request to iis (web server)
Step 5 :Since we have configured the virtual directory in iis , uploader will move the file corresponding ingest folder
